IC/OOC permissions
Aug. 13th, 2025 11:58 pmCHARACTER NAME: Mahir Gowda
CHARACTER SERIES: Newsflesh series by Mira Grant
[OOC]
Backtagging: Yes, forever.
Threadhopping: Absolutely, unless the thread is marked as private.
Fourthwalling: Mahir's from a pretty obscure series, so keep that in mind, but sure.
Offensive subjects (elaborate):
[IC]
Hugging this character: Unless you're character is a close friend, expect Mahir to be kind of stand-offish. Physical contact is fairly dangerous in his world, and also, he's British.
Kissing this character: ...He would rather you not, but talk to me first.
Flirting with this character: Go right ahead! Just don't expect Mahir to know what to do about it or how to respond.
Fighting with this character: Sure, just check with me first.
Injuring this character (include limits and severity): See above. Mahir's blood is kind of a deadly zombie virus, so. Proceed with caution.
Killing this character: No thanks, not without a lot of chatting first.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Go ahead! Mahir will hate it, but I will enjoy it. Just, again, reach out to me beforehand.
Warnings: Mahir's blood carries the Kellis-Amberlee virus, which can infect anyone who comes into contact with it; the virus is spread through bodily fluids, and basically means that while you're cured of cancer and the common cold, your body will reanimate if you die. You will become a zombie. So Mahir will be a zombie if he's killed, and without a headshot to stop him, he will then try to chomp you. It's a fact of life for people from his world: you live, you die, you become a zombie. And in the meantime, you try not to bleed on other people or get bled on.
OPT OUT
Please comment and let me know if you would rather not receive comments from Mahir, and would like to opt out of playing with him! I will not take it personally. c:

Coming Home
Feb. 25th, 2024 09:10 pmAustralia was supposed to be an easy trip... In so far as traveling across the world to visit a continent that is actively out to kill you can be considered "easy." It wasn't that he had not enjoyed himself... some of the time. But he never would have agreed to this blasted trip if he had known what was in store for him.
He is absurdly grateful to be back on the ground once his flight back to America lands. Extending his trip had been a nightmare, but the doctors had refused to clear him to return on his original flight date. Shaun and Georgia had been apoplectic, and he just knew he was going to be hearing about that for the next... however long. Maybe there would be an outbreak somewhere soon to distract them.
By the time he makes his way through security and customs and is able to head outside to the pick up area, his head feels like it may just split apart. All he wants is to climb into a car and sleep until they're back to their flat, and then maybe sleep for a day or ten.
Mahir knows the odds of that happening are slim to fucking none, because he lives with Shaun and Georgia Mason, and he's been on a bloody airplane for almost sixteen hours, which means he hasn't been able to do anything with the site. Not that he'd been up to doing much in the days since his concussion, either. Things are probably such a mess, and just the idea of having to clear it up (or worse, look at his emails) makes him tired. More tired.
There. He spots the car and heads for it, beyond relieved to see Shaun and Georgia already waiting for him.
